Jessica Moreno LCSWManaging Partner &
Independent Consultant I am a skilled facilitator with a unique volume of experience uniting program management, radical play, community education, leadership development, event planning, and ethical social work practice. I grew up in the movement to end violence against women, starting as a youth activist for a local domestic violence organization. Over the past 15+ years, I’ve continued that work as a protective order advocate, adolescent counselor, youth programs developer, and community builder. I’ve worked for local, state, and national organizations - all centering the experiences of young people in intergenerational approaches to community building and violence prevention. I’ve channeled this experience into becoming a nonprofit consultant - AKA your biggest cheerleader! Partnering with programs and communities heals my soul; when programs excel and grow, I also grow. In my free time, I serve on the Board of Jane’s Due Process, a reproductive justice nonprofit serving minors across Texas. I also enjoy Texas Hill Country hikes, and crafting up a storm (I’m a Macgyver with a glue gun). I hold an MSW from the University of Houston, a BSW from Texas State University, and have been a trained Liberating Structures facilitator since 2013. |

Survivor Advocate &
Independent Consultant I am a passionate advocate for gender justice and equity, driven by an unwavering vision that everyone will one day have the care, support, and resources needed to thrive. As a trainer, facilitator, and consultant, my goal is to help organizations align their vision with action, cultivating spaces where everyone feels supported and empowered. Before joining Collective Capacity, I held various roles supporting survivors of gender-based violence, including case management, support group facilitation, emergency shelter and transitional housing administration, and training and technical assistance to organizations and advocates. With over two decades of experience in the movement to end gender-based violence, my consulting approach is rooted in a deep commitment to transformative social change. I specialize in bringing clarity to big ideas, applying healing-centered approaches to address complex challenges, and fostering strong partnerships to activate collective power for meaningful change. Based in the Texas Hill Country, I serve on the strategic team of the Mermaid Society of Texas, supporting efforts to foster community engagement and raise ecological awareness. To unwind, I love spending time along the region’s rivers and finding new places to roller skate. |
